About Me
I don’t claim to be a ‘creative’ myself, and I’m not here to tell you how to be creative. My role is to facilitate you in finding the answers within, allowing you the clarity, focus and motivation to generate your most authentic work.
After art college and a degree in Journalism, Film & Broadcasting, my career spanned PR, Band Management and Performer Talent Agency. Then, when I turned 30, I bought a pub in East London. Everyone thought I was mad. My parents rang me every day to ask if I was sure I was making the right decision, but working in an office for somebody else always felt so unnatural. I craved flexibility and the chance to make my own decisions. I took the plunge, starting my own business, and it fitted me like a glove. It was hard work, but it didn’t feel like work at all. Suddenly I was following my intuition and thriving.
More than a decade later, I still own that pub, but never wanting to sit still for too long, I followed a fascination with mindset, the stories people tell themselves and how this holds people back from living their truest lives. This led me to coaching, which, as an inherent problem-solver, felt like opening a box of chocolates – being able to pick and choose the right tool to turn any given ‘problem’ into a resource.
I trained as a Personal Performance Coach at The Coaching Academy, and eager to dig deeper, I went on to study Generative Coaching, a course created by NLP leaders, Robert Dilts and Stephen Gilligan. Referred to as ‘third generation coaching’ this is a really exciting new approach which focusses on reconnecting with your body and your intuition to generate new creative ideas. There’s still so much more I want to learn, so I’m about to embark on an NLP Practitioner course to keep adding to my toolkit.
In my early twenties, I was a Media and Events co-ordinator for Amnesty International and have been a campaigner for human rights ever since. I offer my coaching at heavily discounted rates for artists, charities, NGOs and organisations striving for social justice. I’m particularly drawn to storytellers – whether that’s through writing, journalism, filmmaking, songwriting, documentary making. Artists inspire and influence, and I’m here to facilitate that process.
I live with my partner, daughter, and two kittens in Victoria Park, East London. I conduct sessions at home, either in person or online via Zoom.
